I have not been fishing too much lately since they closed Nauset beach due to the Piping Plovers. Also we have had company at the house. I went out this morning to Pleasant Bay and got 2 stripers. Both fish were about 25 inches - not too bad for this year. One bass came completely out of the water and landed on my Lewy hooking himself in the eye. It was a spectacular hook up since he hit right in front of me. Not a great morning, but enjoyable. I fished from 6:00 am to 7:40 am.

Woo's Fishing at Cape Cod
I have not been fishing too much lately since they closed Nauset beach due to the Piping Plovers. Also we have had company at the house. I went out this morning to Pleasant Bay and got 2 stripers. Both fish were about 25 inches - not too bad for this year. One bass came completely out of the water and landed on my Lewy hooking himself in the eye. It was a spectacular hook up since he hit right in front of me. Not a great morning, but enjoyable. I fished from 6:00 am to 7:40 am.

After a couple of days not fishing, I took a quick 1 hour night trip to Minister's Point. Wind was howling from the SW, but it was mild. Tide outgoing at end of drop. I managed to get 2 bass on a small Lewy. Largest was about 26". At least I bent a rod.
I gave it a good try tonight after not fishing yesterday. I Fished for 3.5 hours at Minister's Point and North Beach. Outgoing tide. I managed to get 4 bass with one keeper about 29 inches. Fishing continues to be tough.
I got up in the middle of the night to fish Pleasant Bay in Chatham for 2.25 hours. A dark foggy night, but mild. I guess it was too dark for the fish to see my lure. I did not even have a bump. A skunker night.
I did not fish on Wed. Last night I went out and fished Pleasant Bay for 3 hours. I fished from 3:00 am until dawn at 6:00 am. Action was slow, but I did get 4 stripers all in the 24 - 26 inch range. Where are all the big fish hiding?
Fished Pleasant Bay for an hour early am 4 - 5. Only 1 small fish. I had reel problem so I quit early.
After not fishing for 10 days, I went out early this am to be greeted by lots of mung on Nauset, hungry bugs, and not many fish. I was skunked, but did have a few hits. It is tough to fish when you have to clean off your lure every cast. Maybe next time I will do better.
Last night I went to fish the Canal in the middle of the night. I fished from 12:15 - 2:30 am. Not too many people fishng. I did manage to catch one small striper and had a few hits. Not very exciting, but at least I did not get skunked.
